SMK9130 Complete Ultrasound Beamforming Front-End System and Development Kit
Overview
The SMK9130 is a complete 64-channel ultrasound front-end. The system includes the industry’s only merchant available receive beamformer IC – the SAM2032 implementing the company’s AutoFocus™ beamforming technology with QuadBeam™ phased array processing to provide four scan line outputs for each transmission with continuous dynamic focusing on every sample. The system also includes one each of SMM9132 and SMM9133 32-channel ultrasound receiver modules for full continuous-wave Doppler (CWD) capability. Tri-level or 5-level pulsers and a transmit beamformer support transmission for all black and white and color modes, including a continuously variable power supply for the high voltage path. The system supports post processing and provides an interface to a PC host via USB 2.0 or 4xPCIe 1.1. The system comes with the Samplify Ultrasound API (SUAPI) which is a software layer that allows the user to control over 1000 parameters in the system at a high-level by abstracting the details of the underlying hardware. The SUAPI allows users to quickly implement their imaging software. It also exposes the rich functionality of the highly configurable and programmable system.

Ordering Information
The SMK9130 is available for US$60,000.00 in development quantities.
Samplify has a University Program where the system can be purchased at a reduced price when used for academic research only. Under the University Program, the kit includes the same HW/SW deliverables but does not include hardware design files such as schematics or gerbers (apart from those for the probe interface board). The University Program pricing also does not include a license to use the system or its design in production.
