MEDIA ALERT: SAMPLIFY TO DEMONSTRATE 140% ACCELERATION OF HIGH PERFORMANCE COMPUTING APPLICATIONS AT SC12
CAMPBELL, Calif., — 9 November 2012
Samplify, the leading intellectual property company for accelerating memory, I/O, and storage in computing, consumer electronics and mobile devices, will demonstrate its new APAX Software Development Kit (SDK), hardware IP cores, and Web-based Profiler analysis tool for high-performance computing (HPC), Big Science, Big Data and cloud computing applications at SC12. Using the APAX Profiler analysis tool, Samplify will demonstrate encoding rates of 3-8X on HPC data sets without affecting the inherent uncertainty of the underlying data. The company will also demonstrate how integration of APAX technology transforms an HPC application from being memory-bound to being compute-bound, accelerating performance by 140%. This application acceleration yields a 60% improvement in time-to-results.
