Samplify for FPGA
Samplify's Prism™ compression engine solves I/O and storage bottlenecks in embedded systems. Samplify Prism™ compresses and decompresses sampled data in real time from 2:1 to 8:1 compression, and allows the system architect to choose from the following modes of operation to meet the needs of his/her system and application:
| • | Veribit™ mode provides lossless compression and decompression providing a bit true reconstruction of the original signal. This mode is the easiest to adopt in existing systems since there is absolutely no impact to the signals. |
| • | RateTrak™ mode adapts the compression engine to maintain an output bit rate specified by the designer. Designers can choose this mode when the compressed data is to be sent over fixed capacity communications links such as fiberoptics, wireless, or backplanes. |
| • | Optibit™ mode gives the system architect direct control over the compression settings to optimize the output SNR of the compression engine. |
Samplify's Prism™ compression and decompression engines are delivered as encrypted netlists for Xilinx and Altera FPGAs. License fees are $25,000 annually plus per unit royalties.

Samplify Prism CT™ for FPGA, Xilinx Edition is a signal compression engine optimized for computed tomography data acquisition systems. The compression engine operates on baseband sampled data from an x-r◊ay detector array. The compression engine consists of two compression cores to support x-ray detector array sizes up to 64K detectors, run time configurable to any slice and row configuration.
