Al Wegener, Founder and CTO

Al Wegener is the founder and CTO of Samplify Systems. Al is a DSP engineer, technical manager, and inventor with more than 25 years of experience in defense electronics, professional and consumer audio and wireless applications. Prior to Samplify, Al was the technical manager of Texas Instruments’ Palo Alto ASIC design center (formerly Graychip), where he was the project lead and chip evangelist for the GC1115 Crest Factor Reduction Processor. Al also worked at Morphics, Command Audio, Studer Editech, Atari, and GTE Government Systems. Al holds a BSEE from Bucknell University and an MSCS from Stanford University. Al holds nine issued US patents and is named on additional pending Samplify Systems patent applications.

Tom Sparkman, President and CEO

Tom Sparkman joined Samplify with more than 20 years semiconductor Sales and Marketing experience, the last nineteen at Maxim Integrated Products, Inc, a $1.8 billion international supplier of analog and mixed-signal products. Tom’s tenure at Maxim included building the domestic and international sales organizations, including Maxim Europe, which Tom ran for over six years from Munich, Germany. Upon return from Europe, Tom worked with Maxim’s CEO to develop Maxim’s Business Plan for the automotive market before assuming the Product Marketing and New Product Definition responsibility for one of Maxim’s Business Units. His most recent role was running the North American Sales and Applications organization reporting directly to Maxim’s President. Tom holds a BSEE from the University of California at Berkeley

Tim Richardson

Tim Richardson is an electronics industry veteran with an extensive background in wireless, networking, and telecommunications applications. Mr. Richardson was CEO of Micro Linear Corp (NASDAQ: MLIN), a semiconductor manufacturer specializing in wireless telephony and networking applications, from 2002 to 2006. Mr. Richardson served as Chief Strategy Advisor for Sirenza Microdevices, Inc. a supplier of radio frequency electronic components, after its acquisition of Micro Linear. Mr. Richardson has also held executive positions at Bandwidth 9 and Verifiber Technologies, both providing fiberoptic technology for the telecommunications industry. Mr. Richardson currently serves as CFO of the Jupiter Research Foundation, a privately funded non-profit dedicated to the development and application of new technologies for the study of the natural world, and is on the board of IXYS Corporation (NASDAQ: IXYS), a pioneer of power management components.

Ginger Hildebrand

Ginger Hildebrand is the Software Governance Manager at Schlumberger, the leading provider of oilfield services.  Ms. Hildebrand has held numerous positions at Schlumberger, and she has broad experience in software technology application in upstream oil and gas.  For Schlumberger Western Geco, Ms. Hildebrand held the position of Vice President of Seismic Data Processing for Schlumberger Western Geco.  For Schlumberger Information Solutions, Ms. Hildebrand was Director of Schlumberger’s open software development platform, Ocean, for innovative workflows that leverage Petrel’s seismic to simulation functionality ( http://www.ocean.slb.com).  Ginger holds a BS in Computer Science from Baylor University and a MS in Computer Science from Georgia Tech.
